Aspiring Psychopath (DVD, 2008) – Sub Rosa Studios – Danielle Donahue – Indie Slasher Horror

A disturbed young woman named Lucinda harbors a dark, obsessive dream: she wants to learn how to kill like a professional serial killer. Driven by a cold curiosity, she begins tracking every move, pattern, and habit of an active local murderer to carefully study his horrific methods and approach to slaughter. What starts as a sinister apprenticeship quickly spirals into an absolute nightmare of gruesome transformation, torture, and blood-soaked chaos as the line between the teacher and the predatory student completely disintegrates.

Directed and written by micro-budget genre filmmaker Ryan Cavalline, Aspiring Psychopath stars indie horror staple Danielle Donahue in the title role alongside Eddie Benevich, Peter Blessel, and cult b-movie veteran Joel D. Wynkoop. Filmed on location in Pennsylvania, this rare underground physical media release from Sub Rosa Studios delivers a raw, uncompromising slice of late-2000s indie slasher grit, blending extreme psychological degradation with micro-budget grindhouse-style creature-feature mayhem.
