Blood Tracks (VHS, 1985) – Vista Home Video Rare Heavy Metal Horror

A killer combination of heavy metal, snow-covered mountains, and backwoods slasher horror, Blood Tracks is one of the stranger cult titles to emerge from the 1980s VHS era. The story follows a rock band and film crew who travel to a remote mountain location to shoot a music video, only to become stranded and hunted by a murderous family. The film features members of Swedish glam-metal band Easy Action and was directed by Mats Helge Olsson, credited here as Mike Jackson. 

This Vista Home Video release is a particularly cool piece of VHS history. Blood Tracks was distributed in the U.S. on VHS by Vista, with the original release appearing as Vista 0010.
