Carnival of Souls - DVD Used

CARNIVAL OF SOULS (CRITERION DVD) – 1962 – HERK HARVEY – CANDACE HILLIGOSS – HORROR CULT CLASSIC

After surviving a devastating car accident, Mary Henry finds herself drawn toward a mysterious abandoned carnival pavilion while experiencing increasingly terrifying visions. As her grip on reality begins to unravel, Mary encounters a pale, ghostly figure who seems to follow her wherever she goes, leading her deeper into a nightmare she cannot escape.

Directed by Herk Harvey, Carnival of Souls is one of the great cult horror films of the 1960s. Its eerie atmosphere, surreal imagery, and haunting sense of isolation have made it an enduring influence on psychological horror and independent filmmaking. Candace Hilligoss delivers a memorable performance as Mary, a woman caught between the living world and something far more sinister.

This Criterion Collection DVD release is a must-have for collectors of classic horror, cult cinema, surreal psychological thrillers, and boutique physical media. Carnival of Souls remains a landmark of low-budget independent filmmaking and one of the most unsettling horror films of its era.
