Creepshow (DVD, 1982) – Warner Home Video – George A. Romero & Stephen King – Horror Anthology

A young boy punished by his abusive father for reading a lurid horror comic book watches from his bedroom window as the sinister ghoul from the pages comes to life. The specter unleashes five terrifying, macabre tales of supernatural vengeance, cosmic mutations, and absolute dread. From a murderous patriarch returning from the grave for his Father's Day cake, to a lonely farmer transforming into alien plant life after touching a crashed meteor, each story delivers a perfect blend of pitch-black humor, haunting suspense, and shocking monsters.

Directed by horror mastermind George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead) and written by legendary author Stephen King in his screenwriting debut, Creepshow stars an incredible ensemble cast including Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Leslie Nielsen, E.G. Marshall, Viveca Lindfors, and Tom Atkins. Featuring jaw-dropping, vibrant comic-book-style lighting and groundbreaking practical effects by master makeup artist Tom Savini, this iconic 1999 cardboard "Snapcase" DVD release perfectly preserves the definitive, nostalgic celebration of vintage EC Comics-style horror and creature-feature anthology mayhem.
