A classic British-American giant monster film, Gorgo follows a salvage crew that captures a massive prehistoric sea creature off the coast of Ireland and brings it to London as a sideshow attraction. What they don’t realize is that Gorgo is merely a juvenile—and its enraged, even larger mother soon arrives to tear through the city in a destructive search for her offspring.
Known for its impressive miniature effects and city-destruction sequences, the film is often compared to early Godzilla entries and remains a staple of vintage kaiju-style cinema.
