The Haunted Palace / Tower of London DVD (2003) – Midnite Movies Double Feature – Vincent Price – Roger Corman – Classic Gothic Horror
Experience two classic horror films in one release with MGM’s Midnite Movies Double Feature: The Haunted Palace / Tower of London. Featuring legendary horror star Vincent Price, this collectible DVD pairs supernatural terror with dark medieval intrigue, making it a great addition to any classic horror collection.
In The Haunted Palace (1963), Price stars as Charles Dexter Ward, a man who inherits an eerie ancestral home in the town of Arkham. As he settles into the property, the sinister legacy of an ancestor accused of witchcraft begins to take hold. Inspired by H. P. Lovecraft’s The Case of Charles Dexter Ward while borrowing its title from Edgar Allan Poe’s poem, the film blends gothic atmosphere, occult horror, and eerie supernatural mystery.
In Tower of London (1962), Price portrays Richard, Duke of Gloucester, in a dark tale of ambition, betrayal, and murder as he schemes to seize the English throne. Directed by Roger Corman, this black-and-white historical horror drama features a succession of sinister plots and haunting visions tied to Richard’s victims.
This MGM Midnite Movies edition brings both films together on one DVD, making it an excellent pick for fans of Vincent Price, Roger Corman, gothic horror, and vintage cult cinema.
