Hot Dog...The Movie (VHS, 1984) – Shannon Tweed – 80s Ski Comedy – MGM/UA

Hit the slopes for outrageous 1980s comedy with Hot Dog...The Movie, the cult ski comedy directed by Peter Markle and released by MGM/UA. Packed with freestyle skiing, wild parties, romantic rivalries, and classic '80s excess, this cult favorite captures the anything-goes spirit of the decade.

The story follows Harkin Banks, an Idaho farm boy who travels to California's Squaw Valley to compete in a freestyle skiing championship. Along the way, he meets Sunny, a hitchhiking musician, and gets caught up in a rivalry with the arrogant Austrian skier Rudi Garmisch. With guidance from former professional skier Dan O'Callahan and attention from the seductive Sylvia Fonda, played by Shannon Tweed, Harkin faces competition both on and off the slopes.

Featuring impressive skiing action, outrageous humor, romance, and the legendary no-holds-barred Chinese Downhill race, Hot Dog...The Movie became a cult favorite among fans of vintage sports comedies. This MGM/UA VHS release is a great addition to a collection of 1980s movies, ski films, and nostalgic home-video favorites.
