Hotel Fear - Blu-ray

Hotel Fear (Blu-ray, 1978) – Mondo Macabro – Luc Merenda, Leonora Fani & Francisco Rabal

Set in Italy during the final days of World War II, Hotel Fear follows young Rosa, who helps her mother run a struggling lakeside hotel while her father is away fighting with the resistance. After her mother suddenly dies, Rosa is left alone among a disturbing collection of guests. When violence erupts, a mysterious masked killer begins eliminating those who threaten her, turning the isolated hotel into a nightmare of murder, paranoia, and psychological terror.

Directed by Francesco Barilli, Hotel Fear (Pensione paura) blends Italian giallo, psychological thriller, Gothic atmosphere, and horror into a deeply unsettling tale. The Mondo Macabro Blu-ray features a new 2K restoration from the original camera negative and marked the film’s first official U.S. release.
