A landmark gothic horror classic starring Vincent Price, House on Haunted Hill follows eccentric millionaire Frederick Loren, who invites a group of strangers to spend one night in a supposedly haunted mansion. Each guest is promised a cash reward if they survive until morning—but as doors lock, shadows move, and unexplained deaths begin, it becomes clear the house may be truly supernatural… or something far more human and deadly.
Directed by William Castle, the film is famous for its theatrical gimmicks (including “Emergo,” where a skeleton flies over theater audiences) and its playful blend of mystery, horror, and suspense.
