Making Contact - VHS Used

Making Contact VHS (1985) – Roland Emmerich – Joshua Morrell – New World Video – Supernatural Sci-Fi Horror

Before he became known for blockbuster films like Independence Day and Stargate, director Roland Emmerich delivered this strange and entertaining supernatural adventure about a young boy who discovers he can communicate with his deceased father.

Joey Collins is struggling with the loss of his dad when he discovers that a toy telephone may allow him to reach beyond the grave. As Joey’s psychic abilities grow, he begins moving objects with his mind and experiencing increasingly disturbing supernatural events. But his newfound powers also awaken an evil force connected to a sinister ventriloquist dummy, putting Joey and those around him in danger.

Originally released in West Germany as Joey, this 1985 film blends supernatural horror, science fiction, fantasy, and practical effects into a wonderfully bizarre ’80s genre experience. The American release, distributed by New World Pictures, became a cult favorite among fans of creepy toys, haunted dummies, and supernatural adventure movies.

A great addition to any vintage VHS collection, especially for fans of Roland Emmerich’s early work, obscure ’80s horror, and offbeat sci-fi fantasy.
