A quirky blend of teen comedy and science fiction, My Science Project follows high school senior Michael Harlan, who stumbles upon a mysterious device in a military scrapyard while searching for an idea for his science class. When the strange object begins warping time and space, dinosaurs, cavemen, and futuristic phenomena start colliding in spectacular fashion, threatening to engulf the entire town.
Directed by Jonathan R. Betuel, the film stars John Stockwell, Danielle von Zerneck, and Fisher Stevens, with a memorable supporting performance by Dennis Hopper. The soundtrack features original songs by The Tubes, including the title track and “Hard to Believe,” adding to the film’s distinctly mid-’80s vibe.
