NWF Kids Pro Wrestling: The Untold Story - DVD Used

NWF Kids Pro Wrestling: The Untold Story (DVD, 2006) – Documentary Film – 1980s Wrestling – Rare

Step inside the bizarre, secret world of a highly controversial underground sports phenomenon that took place in the mid-1980s. This compelling investigative documentary uncovers the bizarre history of the National Wrestling Federation (NWF) Kids Pro Wrestling league, a suburban Minnesota backyard wrestling promotion where pre-teens and teenagers trained like professional athletes, cut high-energy promos, and performed high-stakes, hard-hitting matches for thousands of live spectators. Blending vintage archival camcorder footage with modern, intimate retrospectives, the film explores the massive local fame, parental pushback, and ultimate breakdown of a backyard empire built entirely by children.

Directed by genre filmmaker Christian Jensen, NWF Kids Pro Wrestling: The Untold Story features raw, unedited 1980s home video footage alongside retrospective interviews with the original kid performers, trainers, and referees as grown adults. Exploring the fine line between dangerous backyard spectacle, entrepreneurial spirit, and pure sports entertainment, this rare out-of-print (OOP) indie physical media release captures an incredible, nostalgic, and often shocking slice of forgotten pop culture history and mini-gridiron mayhem.
