Species II cranks up the sci-fi horror as astronaut Patrick Ross returns from a Mars mission carrying something deadly inside him. As his transformation begins, government forces scramble to contain the outbreak while scientist Laura Baker and the cloned Sil (Natasha Henstridge) are pulled back into the fight. It’s a slick, creature-effect-heavy sequel loaded with late-’90s sci-fi atmosphere, paranoia, and body-horror mayhem.
