Tale of a Vampire - VHS Used

Tale of a Vampire VHS (1992) – Vidmark Entertainment – Julian Sands – Gothic Vampire Horror – Rated R

A haunting, atmospheric vampire film starring Julian Sands, Tale of a Vampire blends gothic horror, dark romance, and tragic obsession into an unconventional supernatural story. This Vidmark Entertainment VHS release is a great addition for collectors of ’90s horror tapes, vampire cinema, and obscure cult films.

Alex is an immortal vampire haunted by the memory of Virginia, the woman he loved centuries ago. Living in modern-day London, he encounters Anne, a young woman who bears a striking resemblance to his lost love. Drawn to her, Alex begins to hope he might find happiness again, but a mysterious stranger named Edgar has his own sinister plans. As the past begins to collide with the present, obsession, jealousy, and supernatural secrets threaten to destroy them all.

Directed by Shimako Sato and inspired in part by Edgar Allan Poe’s poem Annabel Lee, Tale of a Vampire takes a more melancholy, romantic approach to vampire mythology than traditional blood-soaked horror. Featuring Julian Sands, Suzanna Hamilton, and Kenneth Cranham, this atmospheric early-’90s title is an intriguing find for fans of gothic storytelling and vintage VHS collecting.
