The Filth and the Fury - VHS Used

The Filth and the Fury (VHS, 2000) – Warner Home Video – Sex Pistols – Punk Rock Documentary

Step directly into the grimy, chaotic streets of late-1970s London to witness the rise and catastrophic fall of the band that defined punk rock. This raw, unfiltered documentary offers an intimate look at the Sex Pistols, moving past the media sensationalism to let the surviving band members tell their own story from the inside. Combining never-before-seen concert footage, gritty archival material, and candid, shadow-veiled interviews, the film captures the political unrest, societal backlash, and pure musical rebellion that shook the British establishment to its core.

Directed by Julien Temple, The Filth and the Fury serves as a spiritual sequel to his 1980 mockumentary The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, shifting the perspective away from manager Malcolm McLaren to give the band back their voice. Featuring Johnny Rotten (John Lydon), Sid Vicious, Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock, this original 2000 home video release brings the blistering live performances, tragic downfalls, and absolute cultural mayhem of the punk movement to the warm, authentic analog playback of magnetic tape.
