The Phantom Planet - VHS Used

The Phantom Planet VHS (1961) – Scream Gems – Classic Sci-Fi Monster Movie – “Science Shocker of the Space Age”

Blast off into vintage science-fiction adventure with The Phantom Planet, a classic space-age B-movie featuring miniature worlds, strange alien civilizations, and giant-monster thrills. This Scream Gems VHS release is a fun collectible for fans of retro sci-fi, vintage creature features, and obscure cult cinema.

When Captain Frank Chapman investigates the disappearance of a spacecraft, he is drawn to a mysterious asteroid called Rehton. After landing, Chapman discovers that the asteroid’s unusual atmosphere shrinks him to just six inches tall. Captured by the planet’s tiny inhabitants, he becomes involved in their struggles and helps defend their civilization against the monstrous Solarites. With imaginative costumes, miniature-world adventures, and classic low-budget special effects, the film captures the adventurous spirit of early 1960s science fiction.

Directed by William Marshall, The Phantom Planet stars Dean Fredericks, Coleen Gray, Anthony Dexter, and Francis X. Bushman. The film also features an early credited screen appearance by Richard Kiel, later famous for playing Jaws in the James Bond films. Originally released in 1961, this offbeat science-fiction adventure remains a nostalgic favorite for fans of vintage space movies and collectible VHS tapes.
