The Return of Count Yorga (VHS, 1971) – Robert Quarry – MGM Midnite Movies – Classic Vampire Horror
The undead count returns in The Return of Count Yorga, the chilling 1971 sequel to Count Yorga, Vampire. Directed by Bob Kelljan, this cult vampire horror film expands the sinister mythology of one of the era's memorable bloodsuckers, combining Gothic atmosphere, supernatural terror, and a darkly macabre story.
After returning from the grave, Count Yorga establishes himself in an old mansion near a local orphanage, surrounding himself with a coven of female vampires. When he meets Cynthia Nelson, a young woman who captures his attention, Yorga becomes determined to make her his eternal bride. As strange events and disappearances plague the neighborhood, Cynthia's family and their allies find themselves caught in a terrifying struggle against the count and his undead followers.
Robert Quarry reprises his role as Count Yorga, joined by Mariette Hartley, Roger Perry, and Yvonne Wilder. With its eerie atmosphere, vampire mythology, and memorable blend of Gothic horror and early-'70s exploitation cinema, the film is a must-see for fans of classic vampire movies and obscure supernatural horror.
This MGM Midnite Movies VHS release is a great addition to collections of vintage horror, vampire cinema, and cult physical media.
