Wolfen - VHS

Wolfen (VHS, 1981) – Albert Finney – Supernatural Horror – Werewolf Cult Classic – Sealed

Something ancient is hunting in the shadows of New York City in Wolfen, the atmospheric 1981 supernatural horror thriller directed by Michael Wadleigh. Blending police procedural, urban decay, creature-feature suspense, and Native American folklore, this unconventional horror film offers a chilling twist on the traditional werewolf story.

When a wealthy businessman and his wife are brutally murdered, New York City detective Dewey Wilson is assigned to investigate. As more gruesome killings occur, Wilson and criminal psychologist Rebecca Neff uncover evidence suggesting the attacks are not the work of ordinary animals or human criminals. With insight from Eddie Holt, an expert familiar with the legends surrounding these mysterious predators, the investigators discover a terrifying presence lurking beneath the city's surface.

Starring Albert Finney, Diane Venora, Edward James Olmos, and Gregory Hines, Wolfen stands out for its eerie atmosphere, unsettling imagery, and unusual take on supernatural horror. Based on Whitley Strieber's novel, this distinctive early-'80s film is a must-have for fans of obscure horror, creature features, werewolf cinema, and cult classics.

This sealed VHS edition is a great addition to a vintage horror collection, especially for collectors seeking classic 1980s genre films in their original home-video packaging.
